I thought I had cured it w/ Modifilan, apparently not.
A year and a half ago...My hair was falling out excessively and my nails were very weak and rigid looking. I had hypo for 6 years now, and at times have lost alot of hair because of it, the meds didn't seem to be enough. But my doctor says my results from my blood test shows my thyroid was normal. But still had the excessive hairloss. I had been researching for natural ways to make my hair fall stop. I tried most of the things recommended here on curezone .
I did the parasite/colon cleansings, heavy metal cleanse, ate a vegetarian diet, a whole lot of supplements, biotin, coconut oil, acv, and modifilan. I have read alot of successful testimonials on Modifilan from other members here. Many saying it cures hypothyroidism, and stops the hairloss. I took the Modifilan for the recommended 3 months.
After 3 months everything was great! Hair had stopped falling out, nails were great, bascially I just felt great. I am a juvenile diabetic also, so my sugars were great too.
This awesome feeling of great health was wonderful. I had naively believed I was cured of hypo....went off synthroid meds.. (Since Modifilan was said to be a cure in 3 months time) I enjoyed it while it lasted.
Now a year and a half later........
.....Bummed. I am losing so much hair now, more than ever,it has become so thin, and continues to fall out in globs, all day, every day. It is scary. It was never this bad before. The texture has completely changed, brittle, and tangles easily. Now I'm left w/ thinner hair than I had to start w/ and it is really depressing to see it constantly coming out of my head..all the falling strands always hanging on my arms...
These past couple weeks...I started taking synthroid again. My doctor prescribes me the generic version, which I fear may also contribute to more hairloss as a side effect. He insists that is not the case, he doesn't listen to me. Frustrated, he still prescribes the generic...and often times the pharmacy only has the generic anyway.
I'm taking modifilan and biotin again, as well as hair and nail supplements hoping that it will help like last time to stop the hairloss. Has anyone else been through this? It was not worth going off the synthroid meds for me. I wish I had the success as others here did. I learned my lesson and now paying for it...
But gosh, I can't wait 2-3 months to see results, I'm afraid I'll have next to nothing left with the rate I'm going at daily.
Does anyone have and info to share w/ me on how to stop the hairloss quicker?
