In response to "High on Water":
There have been times when I drank that much water, more actually-- 8 glasses. It always seemed like too much water to me but I did it anyway because it is sort of an old wives tale that one should drink 8 glasses of water in a day. Then I went into congestive heart failure.... and I reduced my water intake because it is more work on the heart push around all that water and my heart was having a hard time working as an efficient pump. Also, as one gets older and has bladder issues, drinking that much water makes life very difficult-- one has to be in the bathroom all the time. If I drank the ounces of water equal to half my pounds of weight, that would be 6.8 eight ounce glasses of water and would be all the liquid I could drink in a day. The cardiologist says not to drink more that 32 ounces due to the strain on the heart. I drink more than 32oz but not as close to 2 quarts as your rule would require me to drink. Is it possible your rule needs to be tweaked for very small people? I am a very small person.
