I am a 36 yr old female. Last year I went to get my hair done and the lady asked about my bald spots. WHAT!!! I freaked. Then began talking to a friend and church. After mentioning my hair loss and the fact I stayed so tired all the time, she said oh you need your thyroid checked. Well without insurance it has not been a top priority. But now I am beginning to think more and more I need thyroid help.
I have 2 children- 1 from a previous marriage and 1 from my current marriage. My husband is 4 yrs younger than me and wanted another child. So I agreed. We have been trying since Dec. 2006. And how happy were we when in April 2008 I found out I was pregnant. Then at 5w3d I had a miscarriage. I immediately needed to be pregnant again. But still have not gotten pregnant. I take my basil temp daily. It is never above 97.1. A friend said you know that is a sign of hypothyroid. So I began researching this hypothyroid since now 3 people have mentioned it to me.
Here are my symptoms....
severe fatigue
weight gain, difficulty losing weight
depressed mood
headaches
dry skin, brittle nails
brittle hair
hair loss
irregular periods, PMS symptoms
my whole body hurts during cold
constipation
sleeping more than average
absolutely no sex drive
puffiness in face and extremities
hoarseness
tingling sensation in wrists and hands that mimics carpal tunnel syndrome
memory loss, fuzzy thinking, difficulty following conversation or train of thought
slowness or slurring of speech
infertility
miscarriage
I really don't have the money to go to the Dr. I don't have insurance. Is there anything I can take to improve thyroid function, but not hurt me.
Please help me.
Thanks so much
Nette
