You did stick up for her and you did a good job of it. Except for you saying this:

'If God shuts the door and you go thru the door anyway expect disaster.'

Not sure what you are referring to, if it is her trip and god doesn't want her to go on it, but isn't that making assumptions on what god wants? Who's to know what he wills?
