Remember, because you went through a major retox period, just now – it may take a bit to get your thyroid back in order, it’s filtering everything you ingested. Soy can mess with your hormone balance. I do read a lot about how soy is bad for women especially. Were you drawn to it for the veggie protein? Perhaps garbanzo beans and the like might be more conducive? How do other forms of protein work with gluten intolerance for you? Are there beans that you’re able to ingest and don’t give you issues?

It might not be that you’re experiencing hypo symptoms again. For instance, I have a parasite issue and I tend toward anemia (right now, not always will this be true) from metals as well. If this were true for you, hypo symptoms would mock anemia. Cold hands and feet, nervousness, feeling of floating, lethargy, fatigue – and unfortunately it’s very easy for a vegetarian to tip into anemia. Remember, Iron and B vitamin are necessary for keeping your body fortified. A period of retox will tap those reserves and it would make sense that some hypo symptoms would be rearing their ugly head.

If you’ve not been ingesting tap water and loads of bromide – you were on iodine so long that I don’t know if you’d be experiencing hypo symptoms so soon – but I could be wrong. I think these symptoms are indicative of leveling out, balancing out – and being depleted.

Tell me – what sources of iron and B vitamin are you ingesting right now? This is terribly important, along with protein. If you’re going to fortify your body, finding balance (keeping yourself from seeking it synthetically) and getting ready for your trip, remember these three components are essential for rebuilding energy, your blood and your entire outlook as a fortified woman.

Tell me about your parasite endeavors. Severe food intolerance can be incredibly linked to parasitic infections, both macro and micro. Did you continue working that angle while doing gluten avoidance and iodine therapy? It might well be that as long as your body is focused on keeping the status quo – that anything that speaks as poison is dealt with as such. Lowering the other buggers that have your immunity looking otherwise will slowly allow you to be ‘around’ other foods it previously saw as poison.

My ideas:

EFT: for Gluten intolerance

NAET: A system, ayurvedic I believe, that readjusts the meridians in your body so they don’t react to things as if they’re poison. This could be a very helpful tool.

OKRA/PEPSIN/E3: clear accumulated mucous so that foods aren’t seen as poison, thereby increasing your body’s absorption rate of nutrients in your food.
