I also suffer with tinnitus and slight hearing loss. I was hoping that Iodine would take care of it and was really tempted to put the drops in my ears directly until I read someone's not-so-pleasant personal experience here on this forum.
I have painted Lugol's behind my ears which I think reduces some inflammation -- there's a noticable change, though it's hard to describe. I haven't done it in a while because while the change was good, it wasn't enough to motivate me to continue.
Tinnitus has been so difficult to work on. I've tried homeopathics, biofeedback, acupuncture, garlic/mullein ear drops and more. I see that it's a symptom of candida overgrowth, but also of GABA deficiency, hypothyroidism, blood Sugar issues, allergies and a myriad other things that all could apply to me.
It's interesting you posted this now because I was recently considering painting behind my ears again. I don't mind the ringing (I have a number of tones constantly in both ears) but I don't like the hearing loss that results. I'm tired of having to ask people to repeat what they say.
How did your tinnitus start? Mine began as an allergy symptom. I'd get it once a year for about 2 weeks, after we moved to a new area. That went on for a couple years, then the last time it occurred, it just stayed.
