I agree, expect that I don't think length matters, as many scientifically informative posts can be lengthy. If I don't feel like reading a long post, I don't read it. To read the whole thing and then complain about having to read it is just absurd.

If no harm is being done, I don't see why we can't let some things slide, especially when there are positive things to be gotten from them. It's ironic that the people who have low tolerance are the same ones that expect everyone else to tolerate everything they do without question. I can tolerate a post about someone's personal problems a lot more than I can tolerate outright malice.
