Does anyone have suggestions for a proper diet to be on during the bowel cleanse? I cannot do the total veggie diet, as I get too hungry, and end up eating too many carbs. I am trying to only eat meat and vegetables at main meals, and snacks of fruit or rice based food such as rice crackers with hummous on it, etc. I am trying to avoid wheat ans dairy to prevent the mucous from forming. Is this a good diet, or can you direct me to more resources?

Also, I just read in a pamphlet from Renew Life that said psyllium is not a good form of fiber since it is 100% soluble fiber. They said it absorbs too much water from the intestine, and dehydrates it. They recommended flax seed fiber which is only 50% soluble, and still helps with detoxifying the bowel during a colon cleanse. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone use flax with good results? They, of course, sell products for colon cleansing, but I have read positive things about flaxseed in general for bowel health. Thanks for any information!
