Well, happy holiday's all, the season is starting, and so is the abuse on those who can't defend themselves. This last week was one where my kids were glad to be away from school, yet dreading the time at home, and the days where they have no outlet, no support. My kids will often turn the very source that adds to their problems, yet for a few moments, they have a break....some momentary relief. How drugs just permeate their life. Yet when I was that age, I couldn't see the damage either, and all the wasted years it took me to get my act somewhat together. I just don't want them to waste the years like I did, with all the pain and mistakes and way beyond stupid choices.
I know a great many people are stressed out, not just because of the holiday's, but the economy, housing issues, the reaction to the election, but why do these parents see fit to take the feelings of anger, fear, whatever else, out on their kids or spouse.
I'm not sure what the purpose of this posting is, but maybe it will help some people take a moment before saying mean / hurtful things, or hitting, smacking, molesting their child, just think things through first.
