Hi T Ron. I think that the area may just be an irritation the way you describe it. I know I can have that sometimes. Yeast will grow like any other plant, and you will see the results soon enough. If your really worried, you could place a bit of "plain" yogurt on the area for over night.
If it continues, and there is an odour, this could be a bacterial issue. Shroom
