I suffered for years with this and tried everything. The worse thing I ever did was cortisone shots. The doctor missed and hit a nerve and I was in so much pain I could not stand it. For 6 months I could barely walk. I switched apartments and went to one on the ground floor. The only thing I did to cure myself of this was so nononsense it wasn't funny. I bought soft cushy shoes and threw all the hard soles away. Some shoes have soft insides but then they are hard soles. I switched to a brand that has raised bumps on the inside of the shoe and I never had a problem again and that has been 2 years.
