Diet soda was sent to the war zone and stored in the 120 degree sun for weeks ("military intelligence").

Because Rumsfeld wanted to get kickbacks from the manufactures of aspertame (and nobody wants to believe that aspertame is bad), the soldiers were given poison.

Even today, nobody wants to believe that diet soda is bad.
