[[[But this is how so many are living. You go on thinking and thinking...and thinking, day in day out... in the night it is called dreaming... in the day it is called day dreaming. Constantly moving from one thought to the next... you go on accumulating knowledge and your thought process is never given a rest. it is a nonstop process of thinking and thinking...and more thinking. so many plans to make, so many things to consider, so many issues to resolve. so many voices chattering within your head... it makes for neurosis... it makes for psychosis... it makes for schizophrenia, it makes for a madhouse to exist within you... this is what hell is.]]]
So in the light of what you say one can skip falling in love, which prevents one experiencing it's diminishing effects upon oneself, and prevent possessiveness, attachment, and it's green-eyed monster, jealousy.
One could simply assemble oneself into a position, meditate, find enlightenment which takes away the 'noise' of life, enjoying complete peace, freedom and experiencing an elixir of love, an ecstasy which has no boundaries, an eternity of self-fulfillment.
On the other hand one could possibly fall in love, knowing it's life-cycle, procreate, then ascend into another 'life' by the very act of meditation.
After which one can return to a life that exist in ones environment completely at one with oneself, completely refreshed, in peaceful bliss.
One could possibly think about what you say and conclude that you have the answer.
One could also conclude that there is a "cause and effect" factor to be dealt with here, but if you are in total fulfillment, why should you allow the very thing your escaping from change that?
Of course each of our lives are so different, I find love not so 'diminishing' as you put it, but becoming stronger after the "ecstacy" period, by the sharing of what life throws at one, whether it be good or bad. If one needs a break from the 'hustle and bustle' there are many way's one can escape.
The important part is having strong ties to return to, even if it's not the "two lovers can meet in freedom and vibrant love abounds" as you put it, it is more solid than that, more complete, a togetherness of trust, care, sharing love, looking out for each other, the odd embrace, the peck on the cheek.
Turiya, it's those little things that count in ones life, because without them life could be a little empty.
I take what you say but I feel that 'putting a plaster over the wound' does not necessarily mean it will heal it, but I understand at times it might just be the only way to ease it's pain.
