You honestly don't need to explain to anyone ever why you just realized you have an ED after 10 yrs, it doesn't make it any less real nor should ever discredit you.

That's like saying an alcoholic who has had a drinking problem for 25 yrs should be in question because he just realized within himself something isn't right.

Some people never realize they have one, or they do and chose to ignore it.
