Sorry I took so long to get back to this...

As for the link to the original story, it was a documentary on CBC TV, in Canada. Their website has this: "Factsheet: Male Infertility" - link -
http://www.cbc.ca/documentaries/doczone/2008/disappearingmale/infertility.html

[I will copy some and past at the bottom here]

On the other hand, DO A GOOGLE of: "Male Births decline" and there are 341,000 results!!

It is true that the male birth rate decline has been going on for the past 30 years, but in the past decade the rate of decline has become much steeper... it is sort of like a "tipping point" where our bodies are not able to handle any more toxins, but they keep coming, and/or accumulating.

And yes, grzbear, the animal studies were the first real evidence - the male alligators without reproductive organs were an obvious bit of evidence, and then they figured out why it was happening - the Phthalates and Bisphenol A.

Concerned scientists who have tried to raise alarm bells are shut up by government officials by using pressure tactics like "don't you want to work here just three more years until you get your pension", and then they have to sign an agreement not to discuss anything they were ever working on. Its true, they have been silenced by industry-friendly governments.

But Science and environmentalists fight on!! We are now getting a longer and longer list of "things we were right about all along while you were calling us names". [some bitterness in my tone perhaps?? LOL].

Acid rain was an issue that was actually addressed - agreements signed, actions taken, and reductions made - and we like to point to that success because it did NOT cause any economic problems at all, as the naysayers pointed out as a reason not to bother with "something that might not be real anyhow" [and as they do with global warming now].

I do ramble on eh...More replies please!!
