I listened to an interview and question and answer session featuring Philip M. Tierno Jr, PhD, the author of "The Secret Life of Germs."

Looking at this information from a "MMS" perspective, I now have a greater appreciation of the possible adverse effects of disrupting this balance within our bodies. Chlorine dioxide is a very powerful disinfectant. There is a delicate balance of flora within our bodies. When this balance is upset, we can get sick. We have a powerful immune system that tries to keep things under control.

Obviously, there are a number of things that can go wrong and throw the whole system out of balance. In some cases, it may be a good thing to "flush" out all of the flora and start over, but after that there needs to be an effort to rebuild the balance.

Jim Humble, with the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol, has taught people how to "flush" out their bodies, but he stopped there. Also, it appears that he interprets "bowel tolerance" as effective flushing...

Perhaps the real "miracle" in the miracle mineral solution should come from an effective way to rebuild a balance flora after flushing it all away following the Miracle-Mineral-Supplement protocol...
