This is one of the main reasons I am also against alkaline waters. That and they pose other dangers as well.

Hi Alkaline / Ionized water work in 3 fold ways. They

1. Increase PH (alkalize)

2. Reduce ORP ( negative ORP mean, they are rich in electrons, hence powerful anti0xidant. They are rich in OH- ions )

3. They occur in smaller clusters ( 5-6 water molecules per cluster), reduce Surface tension of water, makes it more absorbale to cells, tissues, muscles etc.

Dissolving some salts cannot achive this... I myself do not own a ionizer but am contemplating about it. Of course I would avoid drinking too much alklaine water, with meals or immediately after meals.
