This doctor is curing nothing. He is just killing fungus while the reason the cancer is there in the first place is generally ignored. Just like herbalists that push formulas to cure cancer, they are playing doctor but with plant products instead of drugs because they rarely push the lifestyle changes that people like MH constantly pound into our heads.

It will arise again, and the second time the person will not be so lucky as the cancer will be more aggressive.

Its a lot easier to use baking soda than require a person to actually clean out from top to bottom and inside out so the cancer has no reason to return.
