Well, I guess you guys won't be visiting me today so thought I would write early. I guess it is a day for "quickies", I mean quick snacks. oops, said a bad one!! I think about freedom to vote and what a precious gift that is. It is the right that not all countries have and I thank God that on this day you and all Americans (hopefully) are exercising that right. I hope that as you stand in line with your fellow Americans that you talk about exciting things like your hopes for the next 4 years opposed to "Doesn't that woman look awful in those tight jeans", I hope that you show that American whether they are black, white, asian or Korean, the same courtesy and kindness as you would your best friend. I hope that at the end of the day you go home after making the right choice you can sit down with your family and enjoy your time together and say I did good today.

How wonderful it is to sit down with family and enjoy a beautiful meal of many of the recipes that Sara has given you and you reflect on the last four years. I hope that as you are enjoying every morsel we stop and think not about everything bad that happened in our nation but about everything good that came around. Even though there were so many God tragedies such as the hurricanes and such I hope we will more reflect on the commararity as Americans we had to support those in need. As I think of all the poor Americans still in need, who lost their homes in all the many cities I begin to wonder if we all still remember them.

As Thanksgiving approaches and everyone is asking for donations to feed the poor, are you there to give your fair share. What is a fair share? Well it depends on your wealth. But I can certainly tell you that it is not enough to give of a few dollars but the best you can. Imagine if you were in their shoes. There are alot of things we can do. You can support the local orphanges and go visit the children during the holidays and take them gifts, you can write to the men in prisons who have no family, you can adopt a child in a foreign country who can not even have rice or you could simple find a person who is all alone and write to them, like Me. You guys have supported my forum and me and I so appreciate that.

I know there is a website about the servicemen in Iraq. They have set up a service to write to them. Many of them are very lonely this holiday and can't we think of something more than this election and focus our time on helping others. Pay it forward my friends, pay it forward.

I was thinking about Oprah and how she gave the people one thousand dollars and told them to go help the needy and all the beautiful stories they came back with. I would hope that some of you could come back and tell us someone you helped during this holiday and how it enriched your life. It is better to give than receive.

Pay it forward, we all remember that movie and in the end the little boy dies but all the people of the town showed up to mourn the child and all he had accomplished in his short little life. He was so frustrated because he tried and tried to help people and it did not work out. Arn't we the same way, we try and try but there are always obstacles in our way. Maybe it isn't what is successful in our lives that are the most important but what we did and had failed and how we reacted to the situaltion that is more important.

So, if you go to vote today and the person of your choice is not elected, I challenge you to join with your neighbors to unite and become one nation. Not someone who is bitter because "Joe Blow" didn't get elected but to say "Heck, I tried." Hey great ideal, I shall have a heck I tried lunch. Ok, so lets all do lunch. I will make pizza so simple, you will say "No way."

God bless you all, every last one and little Tim.

Sara
