Well, yes, as a matter of fact, there are many essential oils that can be used for detoxification, rejuvenation, & purification. Let's go through the list:
Detoxification/Purification-this deals with the lymphatic system, which helps circulate toxins and such out of the body thru increased lymph(by-products of cell metabolism & life in general)flow, & blood flow. Oils to use for lymphatic flow: juniper berry, tea tree, cypress, lemon, grapefruit, fennel, geranium, any orange oils, lavender.
oils for increased blood flow are: rosemary, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, & juniper
rejuvenating e. oils-(which means uplifting, inspiring, refreshing, revitalizing, stimulating & brightening)eucalyptus, sweet fennel, lemongrass, myrrh, cypress, lemon, lime, frankincense, juniper, geranium..the list goes on...
essential oils are very dynamic, they accomplish many different types of outcomes...
to make a recipe using these oils, just make sure you don't use too much essential oil, b/c even though they are natural & usually very gentle, some can be very strong & irritating to the skin, especially if you are soaking in a bath for a period of time, in warm water which opens up the system even more...
use this formulation: no more than 2% dilution, which means, 6 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil for a 1% dilution, ....for a 2% dilution of 1 ounce you would use 12 drops per ounce of carrier,
I hope this helps:)
