It's probably time I post the bad info on Dr. Shelton and other fasting 'experts' thing me thinks. I also did some research of juice fasting and stumbled upon some really crazy crap because people go too gungho on detoxing which has sound evidence and pretty much common sense.

Sound posts by other experts in the field I may add, one in particular who is founder of the National Council Against Health fraud, and is world known with a ton of experience and knowledge under his belt. People don't understand with things like this, for as many people who are giving praise there are just as many sound experts counter arguing. And considering this isn't real fact anyone can argue until their heads split open haha!

I will make a new thread of it though, as I think everyone should be educated and come to their own conclusions like I am doing and listening to my body.

I wonder if anyone heard ever cared to get both sides of everything, its quite easy to find the information.

And going back to your post, well clearly it's wrong since Dr. Shelton doesn't back it up (your bit about ED's).

However I'm not entirely sure why it was even brought that up as that really wasn't the point of any of my posts. I was referring to the webmasters.

But it pretty much goes back to the whole.. if someone has voiced an experienced opinion and isn't backed up by Dr. Shelton it's wrong. Chris couldn't have made my point better. Not to mention I don't recall there ever being a blanket statement that fasting is the cause to Ed's whereas I see blanket statements under the FAQ's, but of course when asked its just a 'guideline'.

Perhaps we should discredit everyone using alternative medicines to help themselves who form their own opinions about their bodies.

It reminds me when I saw a few members talking about hair loss during fasting, and it was argued it was incorrect because Dr. Shelton believed so.

This sort of attitude like with the FAQ's here is for more Traditional Medicine.

I actually think newbies will be put off when they post their experiences going on in their body and find it to be discredited. ie. listening to our own bodies.

I believe 'experts' in alternative medicine, considering most is not backed up by sound scientific evidence should be used as a guide not fact or the law.

You may also discredit me because I am posting anonymously (whatever that means? I don't know ha)

My friend calls it self styled experts!

But we should probably end this thread as I do not care to be threatened incorrectly by a Moderator's power :)

take care Loosie!
