I agree with you, 100%. And if this was a new relationship, I would not want him to try and discipline my children or any of the such, but its been several years now.

Even if we never marry, if he wants to be in my life, the kids are part of it, and i expect him to take some sort of responsibility.

With everything I do, it would be nice if he would just take on a few of the simple things...???

My son. "Can i go play at tommys?" go ask your mom.
My son. "Can i feed the fish?" go ask your mom.
My son. "Can I have an apple?" go ask your mom.

You see what I mean? Even the simple things, he directs them to me... Not because he feels its not his place, but because i do not think he wants to be bothered. If he tells him he can go play... he might have to get out of the bed to open the shed so he can get his bike. If he says he can feed the fish, he might have to stop what he is doing on the pc to get the fish food from the shelf. If he says he can have an apple, he might have to slice it up for him.

I am not asking for much, just simple things to help me out sometimes. YES he works hard, sometimes 6 days a week 10 hour days. But that does not mean you turn into a lazy bum when your home!
