Hello,

I just got my test results back for my thyroid and adrenal. Turns out I have adrenal fatigue and my diurnal rhythm is also out of sync. Both cortisol and DHEA are very low. I have been advised to take 1mg of perdnisolone (similar to cortisone) and 12.5mg of DHEA daily. Here are the results;

Salivary Cortisol;
Time: 8.00am - 7.8. Ref range (NMOL/L) is 21.0 to 33.0
Time: 12 noon - 10.5. Ref range (NMOL/L) is 10.0 to 28.0
Time: 4.00pm - 5.6. Ref Range (NMOL/L) is 6.0 to 11.8
Time: Midnight - 2.5. Ref Range (NMOL/L) is 1.0 to 5.0

Salivary DHEA
Time: 8.00am - 7.4. Ref range (NMOL/L) is 12 to 29.0
Time: 12 noon - 6.3 Ref range (NMOL/L) is 7.5 to 16.0
Time: 4.00pm - 2.5 Ref range (NMOL/L) is 6.0 to 12
Time: Midnight - 6.3 Ref range (NMOL/L) is 4.0 to 10

If I start taking adrenal supplements without taking my thyroid into consideration is that a foolish thing to do? Also, I am scared of taking perdnisolone as it is a immune suppresive drug are there any alternatives? I also have a candida infection so I am worried this may actualy make that worse.
