Yes, I believe fasting is OK with teens. My older son fasted years ago when he was in his early teens (he is in twenties now). His classmates were making fun of him since he was overweight. He did not tell me any thing and fasted during many days..I was ignorant about it. At first, he said he would have BF at school since my "torrejas" were kind of heavy for him ("torrejas" are Fench toasts the Spanish way, with anise and other stuff added to them). I said it was ok, since my ethnic cooking is not naturally light. He lied to me, never having BF at school. And, in this manner, he managed his way into fasting ... We found out weeks later. He had lost all his extra pounds and was very healthy.
