Water fluoridation does not use fluoride, rather, hexafluorosilicate, a divalent octahedral complex anion having a central silicon atom with six fluorine atoms bonded to it.

Those who have drank "fluoridated" water, will test positive for silicon.

So the vast majority of the population would test positive, which is likely why the test is not generally available.

For the reason that water fluoridation does not use fluoride, rather hexafluorosilicate, people who attempt to remove fluoride from water using "fluoride filters" are lollying in folly, since they're unaware of the true nature of the source of F. They ought rather be seeking to remove hexafluorosilicate anion.
