I have never been able to fast for more than four days due to emotional reasons. That is exactly the only thing stopping me so far. I am very fortunate, since I never experience hunger, headaches, etc. and I really obese (female 200 lb, 5'2")I realize I am very lucky not to be afflicted with any physical discomfort, at least during the first 3 or 4 days..but emotional...yes, that really gets me. I am an emotional eater too. It means I need to fast for that reason more than for many other reasons I may have. I spend my days reading, praying, and preparing myself..I so much need to fast... but I am afraid of the emotional detox I know I will need to face. So, EMOTIONAL DETOX IT IS VERY REAL.
