Just a suggestion...I wonder if it would help...
...Think of all you DO want in your life...
...Instead of all you DON'T.
Perhaps give yourself a short time for this exercise...a week, a day, an hour...whatever seems appropriate to you.
And, take personality out of it. If you like being married, or imagine yourself married at some time in the future, then picture a nice person who has no identity.
Except your children, of course. We are always committed to our children, to their well-being.
Do you know the computer game, SIMS? Like that, where you build a household, a family life, out of the resources the game's designer has provided. You, however, add the feelings.
I'd prefer to do it all in my head because the brain moves so quickly and I might want to change something rapidly.
The trick to this creation might be that we see something we DON'T like while we are in the middle of it. If so, we have a number of words to immediately erase that.
...No, cancel, erase, instead, and, my favorite...applesauce.
We could use colors and other words we like, to set and change the mood...periwinkle blue, warmth, white socks, peaches, silken water, caress, and so on.
Some of the feelings I like are...
...The golden glow I feel (often on the upper arms) from people I love
...Contentment
...Harmony, like swaying to lovely music together
...Quiet, like two sitting on a bench watching the sun set over a lake
...Refreshment, like watching the sun rise in an interesting place.
You add your own.
Even if we do this for ten minutes, and forget it...we have created a real thing, a place, a life that we love.
Who knows what the universe will give us back?
