The mirena is AWEFUL, if u feel badly take it out!! i only had it in for 4 months, and in that four months, i became depressed, lacked energy, severely- i mean, i could barely get off the couch to cook or clean (NOT ME AT ALL) i was a raging bitch for no apparent reason, those were my husbands exact words, i literally felt like i was going to explode with anger. We had no clue what was wrong with me, and the mirena got lost- and was in the wrong place, and hurt my husband, and caused all sorts of physical symtoms- everything from constant mild cramping to earth shattering pains- went to the doc, was told it was fine over and over, they pressured me to keep it in and said my mental symtoms were caused by "underlying issues" and possibly my "home life" (which is BS) and finally i stood my ground and said i dont care what u think, its screwing me up- IMMEDIATELY after they removed it- my back stopped hurting- and within a few hours, my mild constant cramping had subsided- with in 24 hours, i had a complete modd shift, 48 hours, started to get energy and sense of humor back- so many things happened because of that mirena- it just happened slowly, and i didnt even realize how bad it was messing with me until it was gone- if u feel AT ALL like it isnt working for u, and the docs arent listening- stand your ground and take your life back, this is a HORRIBLE form of birth control!!!!!!! and if thats not enough, ask my husbnad, i am a new woman, and our marriage is getting back to where it should be!
