I've been on a beta blocker for 11 years as a preventative for a genetic condition I have, and monitor my blood pressure rather closely. I started a new program about 6 weeks ago, and have watched my blood pressure and heart rate drop since then. It has gone from a resting BP with beta blockers of about 125/75 pulse 60, to now before taking the beta blockers I have a resting blood pressure of 115/60 and pulse rate of 45. It has been stable there for several weeks now.
