I attended a college on Long Island for one semester years ago. Major culture shock. I can understand you needing to get out.

I absolutely love NYC tho -- got-a-crush-heartsick-love it. My family thinks I'm nuts.

I couldn't afford to live there but I sure love to visit . . . I'm due for another trip . . . I don't plan anything in advance when I go. Book a room, land there, and start walking . . .
