Anyajb12,

Maybe people are coming here looking for a quick weight loss answer through fasting but at least a few of those people, Mouseclick to name one have discovered the many added benefits of Water Fasting other than weight loss and share with us what he has learned. In fact he has become a valued member of this forum and a moderator here, he contributes much needed knowledge in the area of fasting for weight loss.

"I'm so sick of people thinking that fasting or some diet is the be all end all to cure stuff and then just end up yo /yoing because they haven't gotten to the bottom of the real source : their mind."

I know what you are saying, I think that most eating disorders come from our minds. What we think dictates our actions but it is my opinion that when a person fasts they will usually end up with a clearer mind therefore possibly solving the problem. A whole new world can open up to a person as they fast for whatever reasons they start with.

"Thats really all im saying, people can disagree ofcourse but thats just my .02. Too many people here using fasting as some quick diet and then after day 2 they fail and binge on a pizza and then keep going roller coaster city. I don't judge, I just see it here with the same people, I could not be here for 6 months and come back and bam! same people."

I come here to read about others experience in fasting and to offer support for those who are having a hard time with it, also to rejoice with those that succeed. Not everyone breaks the fast incorrectly and if by chance they do, we should be here to support them and tell them the correct way to break it. People here guide them on the right path and encourage them not give up just because they messed up. You never fail until you quit trying. I believe the majority of people really do want to have a healthier lifestyle. It just takes some longer than others and if the first attempt goes south, start again.

If we condemned people for messing up and trying again we wouldn't be a support forum, but a condemnation forum. I would like to think that when I start my fast Monday if I messed up and ate I could come here for an uplifting word from someone that might make me feel better about starting again.

Of course all of this is just my opinion.
