I have had Mirena for 5 years and no problems. In fact I believe it has helped me tremendously with another condition because I don't have periods anymore. The problem is that I have developed Melasma - darkening of the skin on my face and I am trying to dtermine if it is due to the IUD. I can't find any evidence to support this though. Any one else have melasma they believe is from Mirena?
