Hello Whawk,
Everyone who supplies sodium chlorite and is associated with chlorine dioxide indicates that it is a poison.
For example, here is the data sheet for Oxine...
http://www.nikro.com/msds/Oxine.pdf
This is a 3.35% sodium chlorite solution (compared with Miracle-Mineral-Supplement which is a 28% sodium chlorite solution). Looking at the potential health effects we find...
[quote the Oxine MSDS] "Ingestion: Ingestion may produce gastric discomfort, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Intake of large quantities may produce methemoglobinemia." [end quote]
Moving on to the first aid measures:
[quote the Oxine MSDS] "If swallowed: Call a poison control center of doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of watger of able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person." [end quote]
I don't think this qualifies as a "herx" reaction...
Unfortunately, Jim Humble has never made available the MSDS for Miracle-Mineral-Supplement ... If a 3.35% sodium chlorite solution is considered a poison, what do you think a 28% solution is?
Tom
