Lucky you. Some people don't get those headaches from the withdrawl. You might be able to handle real cream if it's the chemicals in the half and half that bothers you. Of course that means boiling it. Not sure what that would do to the taste.

Caffein and the sweetners (sugar) in most cokes, even the diet(aspartum) ones affect blood Sugar levels. The only one that supposedly doesn't is diet rite. It's made with splenda which so far they are finding no blood Sugar problems with. That's why they are sticking it in all the newest diabetic products on the market. I used it for a while but I question how safe it will be considered 10 or 20 years from now. It's just such a new product. I would almost bet you are wanting the beverages for this affect.

Cokes also tend to settle my stomach and cut greasy foods. I absolutly have to have one when I eat pizza or it coats my tongue. Of course pizza is a rare event for me. A can of coke during a bout of diarhea will stop it up almost immediatly.
