Heya,
Food disorders as extreme as Bulemia can be very difficult b/c you have to reprogram the way you think about a lot of things. You may need to use many tools to work this out but it is possible. This may sound backwards but I think it is invaluable: I have (had) some very dysfunctional eating habits. They creep back sometimes but I can now easily reset them and they don't hit me as often. I do it by fasting. I started with some juice fasts but I've moved on to water fasting. I fast for health and for freedom from food addiction. I definitely have an addictive type reaction to sweet foods especially. If you choose to take this road, I think it is fabulous and healing but I would highly recommend to read up about it a lot to understand the difference between fasting and starving/anorexia.
It may appear counter intuitive at first so I hope no one is prematurely mad at me for bringing this up on this forum but do your reading. Fasting is used for releasing one from all kinds of addictions while healing the body. Food has addictive qualities without a doubt. That's why people have headaches who don't even drink caffine - carbs will do that. Anyway, between that and reading about how to eat healthy and getting into a mindset of going TOWARDS healthy habits (rather than the mindset of fighting bad habits), this will help a lot. Good luck and see you on the forums. :)
