On my first and second flush I couldn't eat any meat for about a week. On my third flush I could eat normally within a couple of days. My daughter tries to eat some high fat starch food each and every time she does this and ends up regretting it.

I agree with the take it slow motto but It's not always going to take a week before you can eat again. As Fil said work up to the more complex foods. If you have discomfort from a piece of bread you are definitly not ready for pizza or alfredo or any of the combination foods.
