That may be so, but the dollar stores are also full of store closeouts, abandoned freight, end stock, who knows how it's been treated, etc. When those places started carrying frozen food, it made me cringe.

Big Lots is great for Mason jars though :).

Costco- Although certainly not out of the question- A little too much private label- read 'who knows where it came from?' for me.

Sam's or BJ's are my favorites for name-brand stuff in retail bulk.

Others' opinions may differ, and that's fine with me. I am stating my experience.

It is also true that I generally go to places which are wholesale and not open to the public for this kind of thing. -L
