Yes I get their newsletter. What isn't being talked about as much is that there was a later news release saying that it's been proven that it had nothing to do with the Atkins diet. The Atkins newsletter sent me both articles which I read. They still aren't sure what the problem is last I read. If you want I can probably get the links to the articles.

The main stream manufacturers would love to pin something on the Atkins diet since he advocates fresh food instead of packaged foods and low carb instead of low fat. The same as they are trying to target Dr. Clark but they haven't ever been able to prove anything and it's a good thing since it's been a life saver for my household. Although Dr. Atkins has a line of products he cautions you to use them spareingly letting the main part of your diet be fresh foods.

We have lost over 200 pounds between the three of us. My husbands cholesterol has dropped over 200 points. I haven't been able to get back on the diet since I started doing these cleanses and I am already up one size in pants. It would seem I have little control of my sweet tooth when I'm not on the diet. What I see wrong with the Atkins diet is that it would benefit people on his diet if they all did these cleanses first then a maintenince program with them. Plus there needs to be some type of fiber supplement. And while he advocates some nutritional supplements he doesn't really look at other alternative cures. I think it's a case of finding something that works and sticking to his guns. Much the same as I see Dr. Clark doing with her method. Which is why I am all for trying things out and finding the combinations that work for you.

Take care,
Lisa
