I've done very extensive research on finding the best blender in the $40-$150 price range and this is what I came up with. What I wanted was a durable blender with a powerful motor, glass carafe, pulse option, and a great price. Glass was a must for me. No worries about bisphenol-A leaching into my food. The pulse option was also a necessity for food processor-like capabilities.

After much research it was a toss up between the Oster BPST02-B Professional and the Hamilton Beach Liquid Blu blender. I usually found consistent reviews on both blenders, however I could NOT find a single negative review about the Liquid Blu blender. People really love the power, durability, functionality, and sleek design of this blender.

The Wave-Action system is supposed to work very well too (continuously pulls mixture down into the blades for smooth results). This is what helped me choose the Hamilton Beach Liquid Blu over the Oster BPST02-B Professional.

1. More power
2. More speeds
3. Sleeker design imo
4. Impeccable reviews
5. MUCH better price & rebates

I'm a deal maniac, so I had to scour the net for the best price. Drugstore.com has the blender on sale for $69. A few other sites list the blender at a cheaper price, but drugstore.com has free shipping on orders over $50. You also get $10 off if you are a new customer. The free shipping alone saves you more money over any other website AND drugstore.com offers 5% back to use for purchase on their site. They have a great deal on larabars as well as many other products!

On top of that I got 6% of my money back and an extra $10 for becoming an Ebates member. Ebates is basically a free membership rebates website that gives you a certain amount of money back when purchasing from their extensive list of online stores. Ebates pays with check or Paypal and you have the option to automatically have the money sent to anyone (including charitable organizations).

Hamilton Beach Liquid Blu Retail Price: $89.99

1. $20 cheaper at drugstore.com
2. $10 off for new drugstore.com customers
3. $4.20 back for being an ebates member
4. $10 back for your 1st ebates purchase
5. Free shipping (around $10 saved)

Estimated savings of $54.99 along with an additional $3.50 to use at drugstore.com! If you don't have a blender then I suggest you jump at this deal before it disappears! I just ordered last night, so I haven't had the chance to test the blender myself but I will definitely share my experience with you all! You only get the $10 ebates bonus if you are referred, so you can sign up through my link if you wish - ebates.
