Hope you are alright about food talk.
The Sugar in them is very easily absorbed by the body, so i suppose they would give energy. Yes they did mention religion.
I'm going more raw daily. So i look up everything to find its nutritional content. I spend alot of money on some powdered wheatgrass yesterday, thinking that it would give me my vit B12, but on doing research, apparently there is alot of misinformation out there concerning b12 in wheatgrass, and it doesn't contain any or not significant amounts anyway. I'm not sure it is as good nutritionally as i have been led to believe. Anyway live and learn.
You only take a teaspoon daily, 125 servings, so it will last a long time, so i suppose not that expensive when you work it out.
I'm not that keen on oranges, it is the pith that puts me off and not always that sweet. I sometimes just juice them, that is easier, using one of those manual glass things with a point.
I'm mad on papayas, peaches, grapes, pears and raspberries at the moment, and raw chocolate. I put dates in the raw chocolate, lovely. I also use cold pressed coconut oil instead of caoco butter, so is even healthier.
The more raw i eat, the more aware i am of how bad the nutritionless food is. If our bodies can function on junk albeit not that well, just think how well it will function with optimum nutrition inside it. I'm still eating some cooked, but at least it is vegetables, rice, quinoa, and say abit of chicken, turkey or fish. The aisles full of junk, have no interest for me anymore, not that i ate that bad before, i'm not a compulsive eater or anything.
It is if the body is suddenly made aware that you are going to eat good food from now on and is helping you to make the right choices. When people are stuffing their faces with bad food, i reckon the body sort of gives up, then when you eat well, it says at last, you are making an effort, and perks up.
I'm wondering whether to go nearly totally raw for 30 days in October, or give it a bit longer to increase raw foods before going for it. Was it you that posted rawtalk link? Anyway joined that. Goneraw is pretty good for receipes.
Hopefully in January i'll be ready for my moderate to long fast. Hoping to cure hypothyroidism one day. So some raw foods like cabbage i have to steam.
