>- personality changes in people after bypass surgery

One of the untold problems of anesthesia is mental, personality, or emotional changes that occur. This is in addition to the risk of not waking up.

Also, bypass surgery is a traumatic life changing event in itself. The very fact that it is necessary can be life changing.

The fact that a person has had bypass once can make them aware that future surgeries may be necessary. My former brother-in-law had 5 separate bypass surgeries and subsequently refused the 6th.

Lastly, bypass surgery can deprive the brain and other organs of needed oxygen and other nutrients for periods of time. This is sure to have a negative effect.

Have you talked to your husband about it?

There are a number of changes that can be be beneficial for not only reducing the risk of future surgeries but also improving general health and mental state of being.
