Several years ago I read about Alzheimer's patients having an increased level of aluminum in their brains and a listing of all the products that have aluminum in their ingredients including cake mix, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.

Ever since then, I've used products I've purchased at Whole Foods. Nature's Gate makes a great toothpaste (a handful of flavors in both paste and gel). Someone let me use their toothpaste (I think it was Crest) one nite when I was on the road and had forgotten my mine. I was so surprised at the taste of chemicals I was tasting -- since then I've always made sure to have my own toothpaste!

Tom's of Maine makes good deodorants. Some people swear by that rock crystal thing for deodorant but on me it made my skin red and sore.
