1 of 2 (50%) readers agree with this message. Hide votes What is this?
the people NEED to sack the whole lot of political incumbents and NOT vote for either the democrat or republican ticket for putting us in this mess...
If the people exercised THEIR voting power collectively to do this and fire the b@$t@rd$ who put us in this mess, especially MOST ALL career politicians (there are a few exceptions), those with political aspirations would be sent a powerful message.
it is the only way that Washington will get it through their thick broken heads and understand that the people are not, and have not been happy with what has transpired.
The pissing contest going on here, on other forums and in the media between McCain and Obama supporters is counter productive, absolutely senseless, and insane. neither of them is worth a single vote.
I agree with Ron Paul's take on a fix for the economy, for the most part...
quit spending money on the oversees policing, raping, and pillaging of other nations resources and pay down the debt... the same d@mn thing anyone would do to get a handle on out of control personal finances... simple.
does it mean lean times... absolutely, does it mean people will have to work a bit harder and\or make do with less (we are very spoiled brats anyway), absolutely, there is no other way. One choice that we have is a bit more controlled, the other is chaos...
in the interim, we could then begin rebuilding our failing infrastructure, securing our borders (people can still immigrate legally), work on becoming self sufficient in energy and food production, hold chemical, pharmaceutical, medical, and food industries accountable, fix the broken legal system and get people out of jail that don't belong there (like non-violent personal use drug possession offenses), bring our country's home military bases up to decent standards, restore personal liberties, and freedoms, etc. etc.
as individuals, those who are preparing for the worst are trying hard to become self sufficient\reliant... industries and the government need to do the same; this scares them to death. To quote a bit from Pale Rider...
"The tit's gone dry! No more credit, you hear?"
