I'm sorry you're suffering especially as a young mother. By all means rest as much and as long as you can. Rest, a natural, simple diet and sunshine used to be the #1 health cure before drugs. And don't hesitate to ask for help from a church or neighbors.

When I had severe candida and was hypothyroid, it was necessary to treat the adrenals before I could take thyroid hormones. I took hydrocortizone (cortef) 5mg 3x a day, that I got online. That was scary too but the improvement was so obvious I wanted to take it forever. Now they make that mild cortef over-the-counter (that you mentioned) that I read was only 2.5 mg.

Don't be afraid to take small amounts of cortef as it's what our adrenals produce naturally and it just gives them a little break. It's when you take predisone that you're in trouble because it's so strong it shuts down your adrenals and immune system.
