There's some truth to this. Last year I had the shock of my life and gained TMJ and Tinnutis, and had them ever since. I tried Emotional Freedom Technique and tried letting go of the "shock" but my body responds with so much stress when I even try to think of what happened. I want to let go but mind isn't ready.
