has an interesting chapter on the Japanese diet and makes correlations between the breast and prostate (both hormone producing glands). She mentions Iodine for the breasts and lycopene for the prostate. Iodine for the prostate is not that well known but I have tried many prostate supplements (saw palmetto, etc.) and nothing has come close to the positive effects of iodine...with the added benefit of being much cheaper.
