I don't know the answer to your question. The treatment is suppose to rid the bacteria and for the cuts to heal. Whether the hanging skin will dry out and fall off once the cuts are healed I cannot be sure. It's possible a dermatologist/plastic surgeon could remove it for you and that it would be covered by your insurance. Have you seen an oral surgeon?
