In spite of the fact that she was able to wean herself off all asthma meds and that 90% of her near life long allergies were gone my wife hated the taste of her mms and embraced the idea of prune juice when I found the suggestion somewhere.
Within a few days of starting on the prune juice mixture she noticed a slight return to her former self. I had been wondering about the vitamin C angle with no mention of antioxidants in general so I checked out the chart on juices,

Prune juice is 5700 on the scale, 4x that of apple juice yet its vitamin C content is similar. So we ceased the prune juice and those old airway feelings disappeared and I got my new wife back again.
Just as I accepted the logic behind mms I had to question the logic behind no vitamin C but don't worry about antioxidants.
