chris_ juno, I appreciate for your feedback and research, but the statement " Salicylic acid possesses a keratolytic action that erodes the hyperkeratotic lesions. However, lips are not hyperkeratotic skin" is not right. probably the person who wrote(phd) about this doesnt know much about the lips, because I gave a biopsy twice in different labs in different times and the result was that they found HYPERKERATOSIS in the biopsy, so lips can be hyperkeratotic skin, in my point of view he didnt have a chance to see a condition like ours, the meaning of hyperkeratosis is...thick and hardened skin cells and that is what we have if we leave it for more than 3 or 4 days and i believe if many of us give biopsy, there would be hyperkeratosis in our lips, however, normal chapped lips dosent have hyperkeratosis and i think from the point view chapped lips he said that lips are not hyperkeratotic skin but we our problem is beyond chapped lips, so this acid helps to erode hyperkeratosis. i may try it on the corners of the lip and i will see from there.
