I'd be able to do this in my sleep.
Fluoride is deposited in bone. Bone is a living structure that "turns over" regularly (formation & resorption). Ergo, to promote fluoride detoxification one would want to simultaneously suppport the dislodging and excretion of fluoride and the formation of "clean," non-fluoridated bone.
But here's the problem for me and I expect for most people, even those of us who sound rather bright. I look at something like the section on bone resorption on Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bone
and then try to drill down on some of the constituents like this
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osteoprotegerin
and although I can follow it, like the plot of a novel, I don't recognize ANY of the characters. Just the obvious ones, like collagen. So I think okay Vit C. But what else? No idea.
And there's a risk of superficial interpretation of course. Like "hey, I should dose on calcium!" But I don't trust calcium (in the past taking calcium supps has given me heart palps, if I needed any other evidence).
I am encouraged by the fact that the thyroid/parathyroid and I think I read somewhere else pituitary are involved in bone formation so in theory supporting those glands will help. Along with physical activity which stimulates bone turnover as well. Exposure to sun.
Side note: I wonder how much osteoporosis might be attributed to iodine deficiency. Maybe coupled w/ exposure to fluoride.
